Arrive Paro - Thimphu

Upon your arrival at Paro International Airport, our tour representative will warmly welcome you and accompany you on a scenic drive to Thimphu, the charming capital of Bhutan, located approximately 55 km from Paro. En route, stop at Chuzom, a sacred confluence where the Paro Chhu and Thimphu Chhu rivers meet. This picturesque site is adorned with beautiful stupas built in different architectural styles, making it a significant religious and cultural landmark.

Before reaching Chuzom, drive past the historic Tachogang Lhakhang, also known as the Temple of the Excellent Horse. This sacred temple is believed to have been built at the site blessed by the divine horse Balaha, making it an important spiritual landmark in Bhutan.

Arrive in Thimphu by late morning and check in to your hotel. After completing the check-in formalities, relax in your room, unwind for a while, and enjoy some refreshments before continuing with your Bhutan sightseeing experience.

Later, set out for an afternoon sightseeing tour of the magnificent Tashichho Dzong, one of Bhutan's most iconic fortresses. This impressive monastery serves as the seat of the Bhutanese government and the summer residence of the Je Khenpo (Chief Abbot). The grand complex also houses the King's throne room, government secretariat, and several important administrative offices.

Thimphu - Punakha

After breakfast, embark on a scenic drive to Kuensel Phodrang (Buddha Point), home to the magnificent Buddha Dordenma, one of the largest Buddha statues in the world. Perched on a hilltop, this sacred site offers breathtaking panoramic views of the beautiful Thimphu Valley.

Paro Sightseeing

Paro (Departure)
